- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Kay Quick is an amazing nurse practitioner. I have been having issues with my menstrual cycle since I was 16. Doctors had just prescribed birth control pills and later as I gained weight, told me I need to lose weight to relieve my symptoms. Kay is the only one who took the time to do actual tests and diagnose what other doctors had assumed I had (PCOS). Since she knew my hormone levels she was able to prescribe birth control pills with the correct hormones, and also prescribed Spironolact to help lower my testosterone levels and Metformin to help with the insulin resistance. In two months I lost 20 lbs. without any special diet or exercise plan, just the same things I had been doing for years while gaining weight.
